Each supported vehicle has a uniquely-designed camper to fit its bed and cab dimensions. We do not produce a universal model or shim kits to adapt from one truck to another.

The standard size camper weighs around 270 pounds depending on options. The XL size weighs about 300 pounds.
The Platform Camper's RTT is the thinnest pop top assembly on the market at a svelte 6". Reference the Supported Vehicles page for more dimensions. Beef Rack Crossbars are an additional 2.5 inches.
We recommend having your Platform Camper professionally installed by one of our install teams at any retail & install location. However, if you're having the camper shipped to your home, please check out our DIY install guide.

While the Platform Camper is easy to remove–thanks to a simple, four-fastener attachment system–it was designed to be left on your truck without hindering its use as a daily driver or work rig.
“Cabana Mode” offers incredible access thanks to its full length opening panels. Unless you have a very specific scenario, we almost guarantee you will never want to take it off.
Each panel on the topper has two locking latches. Additionally, two latch locks are optional for the pop-up portion.
The panels are made from 5000-Series aluminum, and offer an excellent balance of weight and strength. The panels are powder coated for aesthetic appearance and color.
Platform Camper panel standard color choices are Black and White, Grey, Metallic Grey, Silver, Blue, Bronze, Green, and I Dare Ya Red.
The tent fabric options are Tangerine or Stone Grey. Check out the options & FAQ on our Platform Camper page to see swatches.
Call it Stealth Ventilation. While it wasn’t an intentionally-designed feature, opening the rear latch does allow for significant ventilation (both stopped and driving) while still appearing closed to a casual observer. This has the added benefit of limiting visibility of passers by, something most dogs appreciate and discourages randoms from walking up and interacting with your animals while you’re away. That combined with the insulating roof provides a covert option for transporting dogs comfortably.
That said, never leave an animal in a hot enclosure.
Greenhouse effect is real and that applies to any topper, especially ones with windows (operable or not).Please note that this method is only recommended for V2 campers.
Thanks to the Platform Camper’s modular design, all GFC accessories can be installed at a later date.
However, available build options (such as camper windows and tent side doors) must be specified during the ordering process.
Our V1 and V2 Platform Campers are not cross-compatible between truck makes and models.The ONLY exceptions are Generation 2 & 3 Toyota Tacomas.
However, the rear panel must be swapped due to differing tailgate designs.

The standard Platform RTT exterior dimensions are 53"x97". When closed, the RTT will be 6" thick, which is the thinnest RTT on the market by a significant margin.The Platform RTT's interior dimensions are 50" x 90"; it's 55" tall at the peak.
The Platform RTT weighs around 135lbs.
The RTT can be mounted to most aftermarket racks by using our Aftermarket Kit. For those going the more custom route, take a look at our Custom Mounting Disclaimer for more support.
We do not accommodate installation for non-GFC supported mounting setups at this time. If this sounds like you, we do require that you have your completed unit shipped.

The RTT will lift with 75 pounds on the roof. Using our Beef Rack Cross Bars, the RTT supports up to 500lbs of mounted cargo when closed.
Make sure to check your vehicles specific load capacity prior to mounting cargo.
The Platform RTT features a door on each side, as well as a rear door. Ladders are not included, but you can purchase one here.
Crossbar Mounting Straps: Compatible with standard Yakima/Thule or comparable round, square, or aero-style crossbars. Crossbars need to be at least 56" long and can be no wider than 2.5" for proper mounting. This mounting setup adds an additional 0.25"-0.50" in height over your existing crossbars. Aftermarket Rack Mounts: Compatible with most aftermarket rack systems that utilize t-slot style crossbars (Prinsu, Sherpa, FrontRunner, etc) and most truck topper integrated track systems with spacing no greater than 53" apart. These mounts add an additional 1" of height to your mounting setup and you will need to source your own rack-specific t-nuts and bolts for the installation. With either setup referenced above, the mounting points should be at least 48" apart for proper installation and use. If you have a setup with a lesser distance, please let us know so we can advise you on the best way to mount your RTT.

Our Beef Rack Crossbars add an additional 2.5” of height, and are an optional accessory. They can support up to 200 lbs. per crossbar. The topper can support a load of 800lbs dynamically.
It is water resistant. It keeps water out and your gear should not get wet, assuming the bed caps are sealed, the topper was properly installed, and there are no other bed-related issues.

You can add our Platform RTT to the Topper, but you can’t turn it into a Platform Camper, completely. Our Platform Camper has a pass through so that you can get into your camper from your truck bed, amongst other features of the Trans-form-a-floor. This provides the best of both worlds, with the RTT able to be removed depending on your season or situation, but does require the use of a ladder to access your RTT.
No, sliding windows are thick, heavy, unreliable, prone to leaks or malfunctions, and not produced domestically.
There is not a factory lighting option, however lights can be easily mounted to the Accessory Plugs and wires tucked away along or inside of beams. You can check out our GFC Forum to see how other owners customized theirs!

The SuperLite is made to work with a wide array of roof racks and crossbars. Given its weight, it's also compatible with most vehicles on the market. Two things to consider before purchasing are the dimensions of the tent and how much overhang will be present when mounted on the vehicle, and the static weight rating of your roof rack. We'll dive a little deeper below, but feel free to check out these helpful resources.

Dimensions and overhang: I've attached a visual guide for overhang guidelines, but I'll sum it up here as well. SuperLite's need to be mounted with no more than 16" of overhang off the rear of the tent. That's because this is where you put your weight when you're entering the tent, or where you'll sit when you're hanging out at camp. In order to avoid too much leverage off the front, the front-most crossbar needs to be a minimum of 7" from the center of the tent. This means there's 38" of available overhang off the front of the tent. This basically means you'll only need 36" from crossbar to crossbar in order to successfully mount the SuperLite on your vehicle. Keep in mind, we do not recommend standing or sitting on the SuperLite when it's closed.
Crossbar/rack weight rating: The ball is in your court on this part. You'll want to find a mounting solution that will accommodate the weight of the tent (~80 lbs) plus whoever is planning on sleep inside of it. For this, you'll want to find out the "static" weight rating of your rack or crossbars. If you determine it's a safe fit for the weight you anticipate in the tent, go for it!
Mounting/hardware: All SuperLite tents will ship with our Universal Mounting Straps and all necessary hardware to mount the SuperLite to MOST racks. The SuperLite come with the two most common length bolts. If the bolts are too long/short, you will need to source the proper size from your local hardware store.
Offset Brackets: If you do not have the minimum required 35" of unobstructed crossbar length you will need to purchase a set of our SuperLite Offset Brackets. The offset brackets allow the tent's mounting points to be moved inwards towards the center of the vehicle to clear any obstructions caused by crossbar mounting feet/towers that are preventing the SuperLite's mounting tracks from sitting flush on top of your crossbars. Similar to our lead time process for up front payment, your product will begin production with standard lead times after the first payment is processed using your GFC Sport credit card.
Here are some more details about how your payments would be structured:
- There are auto pay settings you can set up. The required minimum payments may NOT pay off the full purchase amount, within the promo period. To avoid accrued interest at the end of the promo period, ensure that your monthly payment is set at the correct amount to pay off the entire amount within the promo period.
- You must make your minimum payments every month
- If you pay the promo balance in full within the promo period, you WILL NOT be charged any interest
- If you do not pay off the balance by the end of the promo period, you WILL be charged interest. This interest starts accruing on the date of purchase. It will be added to your account balance at the end of the promo period.
If approved, there is no interest if the financed amount is paid in full within 12 months. Interest accrues from the date of purchase, but is deferred. During this promo period, you must make minimum monthly payments and pay off their qualifying purchase.
If the entire promotional balance is paid in full by the end of the promo period, the accrued interest will not be charged to the account, and the customer will pay no interest.
If the entire promotional balance is not paid in full by the end of the agreed-to promo period, the interest that has been accruing from the date of purchase will be added to the remaining balance.

For Platform Camper customers, the best option is to choose a professional installation at one of our retail locations.
Platform Camper shipping and installation at one of our retail locations costs $600, and is payable with the final invoice.

If you are located within the Continental US, shipping is a flat rate of $750 and your RTT will ship as soon as your order is placed (next business day). Your RTT will be delivered via Old Dominion Freight; we will send tracking info and delivery instructions when your order ships and the carrier will reach out to you directly to schedule the delivery.
If you would like liftgate service, you will be able to request that from the carrier at this time. Shipping times typically range from 3-7 days depending on location.
Every component in the GFC platform comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase on all material, craftsmanship, and parts. This warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear, or to damage or cosmetic blemishes sustained during use.
